Sigtrygg Burdotters profetior del 2

After nine years had passed the wizards of Vincinor were surprised to find a huge castle floating in the sky. It had been built by Klev to house his mother in, and in this house she did prophecy. For her treatment she shunned the wizards but the general populace came to her and began to worship. From this worship she grew stronger and began to look for a way back to Grangard.

Klev, the dragon son of Sigtrygg, became very popular. He was initiated as a god and protector of The Holy Sea in Vincinor, although he was accounted a stranger. As he had fought the giants back in his own home he now fought the mysterious beings that threatened Vincinor. Foremost of these were Galliform, the headless turkey.

Sigtrygg sat in the topmost tower of her castle in the sky and looked over the entire world. She picked up her cards and wanted to know how the war against the wolf was faring in her homeworld. The wolf had imprisoned her in vincinor, hoping for the wizards to keep her there forever. In this, they had proved a failure.

The well of Urd, where three weird sisters spin the fates of everybody, is currently lost. Their own fates they could not predict. Hopefully my remaining soldiers will be smart enough to move all of our remaining forces to the city of Ting in order to protect the well. It must not fall into the hands of the giants!

This jackalope is a warrior most fierce. She is devoted to me and hope to make it into Slainhall Towers to join the entire battle when she dies. If I was still in Grangard I would endow her with the power of frenzy. yet I do not know...She is torn between a lot of different choices and only really cares for her homeland and lord.

The racetrack of the southern seas continue to function as usual, but the enthusiasm of the participants and the public are wearing thin. Most of them are leaving for the war or seeking glory in the northern seas of Danjernavia. As many as possible must be recruited to our side in these uncertain times. I hope my messengers are up to the task without me...

I must admit that I am growing restless and thus tried to peer into the lair of the wolf, although naturally I knew I would discover nothing. The lair itself is guarded by strong giant magic as well as the wolf's own particular strange brand of metallic magic. Only someone brave enough to break in in person may find out what actually goes on in there...

This young woman is one of those that have been devestated by the war. She has found comfort in a new religion from the east that speaks of forgivness and healing. She is very eager to share what she calls good news but do not understand her own holy texts yet. None of this will help us win the war, although her white magic may prove useful...

Since the people of Vincinor now followed Klev rather than the wizards they declared war on him, but Sigtrygg revenged herself on them.

Youtube Poop, alltså att klippa ihop filmklipp, dialog och musik från olika filmer och spel för humorns skull kan med lite fog kallas för ett modernt uttryck för den tidiga dada-rörelsen från 1920-talets början. Men egentligen tänker jag inte debattera för detta här utan istället dela en av genrens absolut bästa verk. Håll till godo och kolla på skaparens övriga verk!

Poet, magician and one of the best warriors of Bjarmaland. He fights with a hookshot and is always up for a drink with friends!

Upventor Joakim "Gadgets" Johansson

A gadgeteer working for Deep Rock Galactic. His job is mainly repairing the drop pod and other broken equipment, as well as coming up with new overclocks for the weapons.

And now for the drinking!

 : This is quite nice, although a bit too dark for my taste. But absolutely drinkable!

  : Is it really made from morkite?

 : I think so, yeah. Tastes very "groundy". 

 : Absolutely, I can taste the distinct taste of the morkite mineral. Musta been stored close to a croppa motherload though, it spoils the taste a bit.

: Interesting!

: Aye! And we mine and brew all of the ingredients right here on the space rig!

: Hey! He works for the company, what if he tells on us?

: Let him be, he came here to help.

Aye. Deep Rock Galactic stole most of my research and raised the price of the beer. I am going to sneak in here every night and drink all the beer they owe me!

: Yeah! Just like Vishkar stole my father's research! You see, the weapon I used was actually invented by my father for peace, but...

: Shut up, Lucio.

: Your new backstory sucks.

: Piss off!

Låtom oss läsa: Sonic (IDW) nummer 5

Jag har funderat ett tag nu på om jag skall fortsätta med den här genomläsningen av IDWs Sonic-serie. Först och främst vet jag inte riktigt vem publiken är. Vem känner mig, läser min blogg och är samtidigt intresserad av en svensk genomläsning av en serie baserad på en gammal Tv-spelshjälte som minst sagt sett sina bästa dagar, liksom? Dessutom har jag halkat bakom utgivningen rätt så mycket (är på nummer 5 medan mer än 25 nummer givits ut). Men men. Jag kör i alla fall ett par avsnitt till så får vi se sen! 

Numret börjar med ett mycket tv-spels inspirerat avsnitt. Sonic och ninjan Espio springer genom loopar och slåss mot robotar i en lång actionsekvens som jag antar skall påminna om Sonic Forces (mest baserat på att Espio har en änterhake). Det är en bra och inte alltför utdragen sekvens som är spännande att läsa. Jag gillar när adaptioner av spel har actionsekvenser som är inspirerade av spelet det faktiskt är baserat på istället för den sedvanliga "Skjuta-Skjuta" som vi mestadels sett i de senaste fyra avsnitten.

Something Something FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM

Espio, en medlem av detektivfirman Chaotix, har letat igenom Robotniks baser för att hitta honom eller i alla fall ett sätt att stoppa de mördarrobotar som fortsätter att anfalla städer ute på landsbygden. De har ännu inte hittat något av värde men leder Sonic till en liten håla, liknande de vi sett i de senaste fyra avsnitten, där en överraskning väntar...
Chaotix är en av de allra äldsta Sonic-karaktärerna men har aldrig använts speciellt mycket så det är kul att de får lite att göra. Väldigt skönt att alla medlemmar i gruppen introduceras på en gång istället för ett nummer för varje medlem.

Så det visar sig att Dr Robotnik tappat minnet efter att han besegrades förra gången och nu lever i byn som "Mr Tinker". Skurkar och hjältar som tappar minnet är ett rätt klyschigt sätt att skapa spänning på men hela sekvensen med referenser till gamla spel är så charmig att jag ändå tycker att det funkar någorlunda. Hela andra halvan av albumet, speciellt minnessekvensen när Robotnik/Tinker hittas och hjälper byn är så fruktansvärt bisarr att man inte kan låta bli att skratta åt den. 
Allting verkar vara frid och fröjd för stunden men den mystiska rösten i Robotniks gamla bas återstår att ta itu med och vissa minnen av Robotnik verkar leva kvar, eller rent av aktiveras av att möta Sonic, i Tinkers skalle.

Med albumet får man även en kort serie baserad på Angry Birds. Tecknarstilen ser ut nästan exakt som de där massproducerade Kalle Anka pocketböckerna som såldes på bensinmackarna förr.

Sigtrygg Burdotters profetior del 1

Den högsta av gudar är Sigtrygg, dotter till Bur

Gumman som Gudarnas grannlåt Grangård grundat

Hennes söner heter Klev och Vide, Skryte och Sur

Hennes män heter Od och Varg, Strid och Shilling

Häxa och modern till mord och monster på jorden

Hennes hem är det höga skälvande tornet i Slakthus

Bjarmaland är landet som hon lagt i sin hand för evigt

Detta är de profetior om Grangårds framtid

Hon siade när hon satt fängslad i Vincinor

Trollkarlarna i Vincinor frågade henne:

"Vem är du och var kommer du ifrån?"

Hon svarade:

"Jag är född av Bur, den fängslade stolen, den högsta i den ädla församlingen. Fängslad blev jag nesligen i denna värld av Varg, han som jag famnat i den äktenskapliga sängen. Själv är jag från Bjarmaland och jag har skapat alla varelser som finns däri."

Då förundrade de sig mycket. När hon satt fängslad spådde hon mycket om Grangårds framtid och om Varg och jättarnas kung skulle lyckad ta över det.

For my sworn brother Tymor a time of watchfullness awaits. As the war of the wolf picks up speed and I prolong my homecoming he will try and see which side will win and what path he should pick. This is the most careful he has ever been in his life, yet he is still on my side and fights for the future of Bjarmaland!

The inhabitants of Beluga, that floating island in the sky, is home of many of the world's greatest warriors. They will be instrumental in fighting against the wolf and the giants that threaten the order of the world. As it is now they are pre-occupied with their own problem but in time they will see the larger world and its problems...

Lauer is the island that is the mother of both Tymor and the Lord of Beluga, so I was anxious to see her fate. During the war she will keep to herself, not letting anyone near, not even her sons or any of her lovers, nor will she let people live on her. She will cradle her remaining wealth until she is sunk into the sea. Disappointing.

These five pitiful islands have always been scrappers with no ambition except the drive to survive their miserable lot, but it seems this war will change that. They will take a good hard look at themselves and decide their fate. Will they take up arms for Beluga? Or will they join the wolf and the giants? I cannot see...

The sand horse is a strange creature. A great reptile from the eastern lands of Knez he was cursed into this shape by some mysterious enemy that are not affliated by either wolves or giants. Nevertheless he will be instrumental in freeing Bjarmaland and ridding Grangard of the plague of giants. He will be greatly rewarded for this. 

Efter nio månaders experiment så befriades Sigtrygg av sin son Klev, som kom i en drakes skepnad och släppte henne fri.

Mario Party och sannolikhetslära

Jag hittade nyligen denna helt fantastiska dokumentärserie där man använder Mario Party serien för att tala om tur och sannolikhetslära. Meningen är att försöka komma fram till vilket av spelen som är mest "rättvist". Jag älskar den här sortens ubernördighet (seriöst, senaste avsnittet är över tre timmar långt) speciellt när den är kombinerad med faktiskt kunskap om ett visst ämne.
